"Proud of our history, focused on our future"
Welcome to Nailsworth Mills Bowls Club, a thriving and modern lawn bowls club situated in the Cotswolds, open to all and offering regular open days for people to have a go. The green opens Friday 19th April 2024.
Check out our club nights every Friday from April to September and our 4 x special Bowls Bash days on 11th May, 30th June, 27th July & 24th August.
Located on the Avening Road Estate in 1924, NMBC celebrates its centenary this year, with a weekend of bowls on May 4th and 5th especially arranged to celebrate the occasion. On Sunday 5th we welcome Gloucester City Bowling Club - the first team we played on our new green back in 1924! Be sure to catch that game from 2pm.
The club offers mixed friendly games as well as competitive league matches for all ages, gender, race, religion or disability and is keen to welcome new members.
Fancy having a go - young or old? Come to our Friday Club Nights or Bowls Bash dates. There are plenty of spare bowls to try it out and club members on hand to show you the ropes. The bar opens regularly, with prices on alcohol, soft drinks and snacks you'll love. There's even an honesty fridge for our members for when they are playing on the green when the bar is closed!
Here we all are after a great social drawn pairs competition showing off the Micky Holbrow Shield on Friday 26th back in July 2019. Congratulations went to Barry and John, taking the shield by winning the very last end.
Lawn Bowls can be played by all ages and truly is a family sport, so whatever your age, if you would like to try your hand at bowls why not visit the club on Friday evenings at 6.30 - 9.00 during the season, when coaching will be available.
The club is open from Friday 19th April until Monday 16th September and visitors are welcome throughout the season. The last Club Night will be Friday 13th September.
